About Me

This site tends to focus more on my academic and professional accomplishments, so I wanted to make sure to give a little more personal information about who I am.

  • I love to read in my spare time.  I know that everyone puts this in their "about me" sections but my bibliophilia is an important part of who I am.

  • I love being outside unless it is above 87 degrees, the humidity is above 65%, the sun is directly overhead and will burn me (in the summer I usually stay a shade of red.  I'm not burned, per se, just red all the time), or the mosquitos are out.  Anything else, literally, I am fine with.  Storms, of course.  Rain, love it.  Snow, I can deal with it.  Locations are even negotiable for me.  Forest, adore it.  Ocean, can't get enough of it.  Desert, dry but some cool plants.  I can go on.

  • I love Instagram.  That's all. (cro7777)

  • I have a lot of interests when it comes to academia.  I should have done a lot of things and gotten a lot of different degrees, according to what I like.  Currently, my list includes archaeology, geology, meterology, paleontology, Spanish language, astronomy and cosmology, French Language, Korean Langauge, philosophy, poetry crafting, and physics.

  • I always want to learn more about where I came from.  I have successfully traced parts of my family tree back hundreds of years.  So far, I have lines existing in Kentucky and stretching back to North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Maryland, New Jersey, the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, France, England, and a possible line into the Cherokee nation.

  • I have a large extended family.  I have one younger sister (who I am in contact with quite often) and two nieces, countless cousins and second cousins, aunts, and uncles.  All are based in Kentucky or southern Indiana.

Very Random Facts:

  • My favorite holiday is tie between Halloween and Christmas, my favorite color is green (but a very specific shade), my favorite book is a tie between Stoker's Dracula and Louise Penny's Still Life, my favorite season is fall, my favorite rock is limestone, if I had to chose any flavor of Kool-aid it would be cherry, my favorite constellation is Scorpius, Pluto is my favorite (and still a) planet, and my favorite architectural form is the I-House.
